How AoF works on GGPoker & Natural8

The GG network runs 4-max, 8BB, straight-flush jackpot AoF tables. Every hand is dealt 8 big blinds deep, the only legal actions are shove or fold, and hitting a straight flush at showdown pays a jackpot multiple of the pot. Ruleset is consistent enough across the network that a single solver applies cleanly to both GGPoker and Natural8 rooms.

The correct 8BB strategy — position by position

CO Open Shove: the widest opener — every pair, every suited ace, most broadways, all suited connectors 76s+ and off-suit down to KJo at typical jackpot values.
BTN Open Shove & BTN Call vs CO: BTN over-shoves marginally wider than CO; when CO shoves, BTN calls a polarised range of big pairs, big suited aces and top broadways.
SB shoves, calls and overcalls: SB shoves a linear range vs BB; vs a CO or BTN shove, SB calls a tighter polarised range. Multiway overcalls (vs CO + BTN both all-in) start to include jackpot-motivated suited connectors.
BB defence: BB defends the widest of anyone because it already has 1BB invested. Multiway pots amplify BB's defence — pot odds improve as more players commit chips.

Jackpot-adjusted ranges — worked example

At an $800,000 straight-flush jackpot on $0.10 / $0.25 AoF, a hand like 76s from CO gains roughly 0.4bb of shove EV over its non-jackpot value. Multiway overcalls — the biggest edge in AoF

Most players fold too tight in multiway spots because the pot looks scary. In reality the equity required is small (25–33% depending on stacks), and the jackpot bonus pushes required equity even lower for suited-connector hands. Solving multiway overcalls correctly is where most AoF edge is generated on both GGPoker and Natural8.
